Nails have a diverse anatomy and have four basic parts. First part is the “nail plate” that is present on the upper side from where the nail moves outwards. The second part is the “nail groove”. It is the part which is attached with the side edges. The third part is “lunula” and it is the whitish part of the nails that can be easily seen at the bottom of the nail. Fourth and final part is “eponuchium” and it is at terminating line where the nail ends. All these parts formulate a complete nail.
